About me
Hello! I am Guillermo Gamarra Segovia (he/him), and I recently finished my PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Johannes Sprang in the University of Duisburg-Essen. I am currently in a postdoctoral fellowship in Essen until March 2026, when I will be in Keio University in Tokyo for 6 months in a JSPS Short program fellowship, hosted by Prof. Dr. Kenichi Bannai .
My main research interests are in Arithmetic Geometry, especially on the study of abelian varieties and their moduli spaces. My current research also focuses on the study of the polylogarithm and its various realizations via some of the more recent advancements in the theory of geometrization of cohomology theories.
